Ethan Dettenmaier is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. After starting out in the mail room at Warner Bros., he landed a position as a script doctor for Steven Seagal. Dettenmaier made his filmmaking debut with the horror film Sin-Jin Smyth, which began filming in 2006. His production company, Snap Kick Productions, also serves as producer on the film "Job". In terms of writing, Dettenmaier is currently developing two films for action star Steven Seagal.

Trained in Hayastan Jiu-Jitsu/Judo/Sambo with legendary fight instructor Gokor Chivichyan.

Member of the Aikido Daiwa school under Shihan Jack Arnold

Schooled in Kung Fun with Sifu Todd Tai (who was once Jackie Chan's bodyguard)
