city inTaipei County ,Taiwan . "Hsichih" literally means "the end of tides" is because the tide from theKeelung River stops here and goes back to the sea. It is located in the Keelung River Valley betweenTaipei City andKeelung City , through which the old Jukando Highway and Jukan Railway Line passed during the Japanese occupation; nowadays both north-south freeways (National Highway No. 1 and No. 3) pass by Hsichih as well as theWestern Line railroad.

*Population : 181,543 people (June 2008)Its population grew up quickly in the 1980s and 1990s and has become an important suburban city. Hsichih suffered serious flooding several times during the
typhoon day before the embankment along the Keelung River was constructed in2002 .Hsichih is home to many companies, such as Acer, Coiler,
Garmin andDFI . TrasportationThere are two station services by TRA there are Sike and Hsichih.In the future the will be MRT from Taipei City extend to the Hsichih city hall.External links
