- Shaun Elliott
Shaun Elliott (born
26 January 1957 inHaltwhistle ) is an English former professional footballer. He was a central defender who began his career with Sunderland before playing for Norwich City, Blackpool and Colchester United. He also played with the Seattle Sounders in theNorth American Soccer League . He ended his professional career in theUSA in 1991, playing 13 times without scoring for theAlbany Capitals in theAmerican Professional Soccer League . Sunderland lost the final to Norwich City, who went down to the Second Division with them that season.
While with Sunderland, Elliott won three caps for the England 'B' team.
