Senhora da Hora is one of the most important parishes (freguesias) of Matosinhos municipality.Currently is a town,but has expressed to became a city.It's a great habitational area with many houses and buildings for habitation use.

Although Senhora da Hora is a pleasant place for living since it is very developed, there are some problematic neighbourhoods located near the place.

Infrastructures

Senhora da Hora is where the second-biggest shopping mall in Portugal is built. There, you can find many famous shops such as Nike, FNAC, SportZone (sports shop in Portugal), Toys "R" Us, ZARA, Massimo Dutti and others. It also includes restaurants like McDonald's, Pizza Hut or KFC. There is also movie theater with 8 rooms in it.

A public swimming pool was recently built near NorteShopping inside a small but very nice natural park.

The well-known Pedro Hispano Hospital is also located there.

The metropolitan transport service of Metro do Porto passes right through the center of Senhora da Hora and the place is one of the most important stops of this public transport system with various connections to other lines and road transports.

Sports

Senhora da Hora has got some sports infrasructures like small football and basket fields, tennis courts etc.It also hat a football stadium home of the local team SC Senhora da Hora and also Leixões Sport Clube, that is in the most important portuguese league.
