As with 'Koopmannii', 'Berardii' is treated in some east European treatises as a cultivar of theSiberian Elm "Ulmus pumila". 'Berardii' made a small tree or shrub, with minute, glabrous leaves 12 mm - 18 mm long, deeply incised by relatively few teeth.

A specimen was once grown at
