Trokosi: (wife of the Gods). Produced/directed by Kofi Boateng. 1994, 25 min.Documents a system of providing young girls as servants/slaves to priests among the Ewe people of southeastern Ghana. These "inmates" (or wives of Gods) must serve for an indefinite time as workers and wives to atone for family crimes that can date back to the 17th century. In English and Ewe with subtitles in English
