HMS "Paladin" (G69) was a P-class
destroyer of the BritishRoyal Navy that saw service duringWorld War II .Following the sinking of the heavy cruisers "Cornwall" and "Dorsetshire", on
April 5 1942 , "Paladin" took part in the rescue operations, and assisted in the recovery of approximately 1,120 men from both crews.While escorting
Convoy KR-8 on12 February 1944 , she helped her sister ship HMS "Petard" destroy theJapanese submarine I-27 after it had sunk the SS "Khedive Ismail" with the loss of 1,297 people.In 1954 she was converted to a Type 16 fast
anti-submarine frigate , with the newpennant number F169."Paladin" was broken up in 1962.
