Caron is a 1986 graduate of
Saint Michael's College where he majored injournalism .After graduating, Caron took a job with a small newspaper in
Vermont covering the Vermont Reds, Cincinnati's AA affiliate. He quickly left that job to take an a job forWPTZ-TV inPlattsburgh, New York where he covered theMontreal Canadiens andMontreal Expos . He later held a sports anchor jobs atWNNE-TV inHanover, New Hampshire .In 1988, he took a sports anchor job
WGME-TV inPortland, Maine . He stayed with the station for 5 years. In addition to his anchor duties, he hosted a weekly ski segment and produced a number of half-hour sports specials.In 1993 left WGME-TV to work as sports reporter at
WPXT-TV in Portland, where he also hosted a weekly hockey feature. Caron also provided play-by-play coverage for thePortland Pirates as well as the New England Stingers ofRoller Hockey International .NESN / Current activities
Caron currently hosts the New England Sports Network's (NESN) Red Sox coverage, and the Red Sox pre and post game shows.
