- Ralph Eugene Diffendorfer
Ralph Eugene Diffendorfer (1879 –
January 31 ,1951 ) was an Americanclergy man, born at Hayesville,Ohio , and educated atOhio Wesleyan University ,Drew Theological Seminary , andUnion Theological Seminary . He was assistant secretary of theEpworth League from 1902 to 1904, and from 1904 to 1916 was secretary of theMissionary Education Movement in theUnited States andCanada . The following year (1916-17) he was educational secretary of theBoard of Home Missions and Church Extension and theBoard of Foreign Missions of the Methodist Episcopal Church . He was associate secretary of theCentenary Commission of the Board of Home Missions and Church Extension in 1918, and in 1919-20 served as director of theHome Missions Survey of the Interchurch world movement . In 1920 he was appointed secretary of the department of education of theCommittee on Conservation and Advance of the Methodist Episcopal Church inChicago . He was author of:
