Two childhood friends, Veer "Veeru" Singh (Dilip Kumar) and Rajeshwar "Raju" Singh (Raaj Kumar) have become bitter enemies due to the machinations of Chuniya (Puri). So much so, in fact, that they have divided their territories and sworn to kill anyone who crosses the boundary. Against this backdrop, their grandchildren, Vasu (Mushran) and Radha (Koirala) fall in love and meet each other in secret quite frequently. When their romance surfaces, the rivalry between Veeru and Raju is rekindled. The two young lovers are told never to see each other again, on pain of death...
