The Irano-Anatolian region is a
biodiversity hotspot designated byConservation International , extending across portions ofArmenia ,Azerbaijan , Georgia,Iraq ,Iran ,Turkey , andTurkmenistan . It includes highlands of the central and easternAnatolian Plateau as well as theZagros ,Alborz , andKopet Dag mountain ranges.The ecoregions included within the hotspot are:
