TV series
There are two Squirrels and they both survive the journey and the events that follow in White Deer Park. In Between Two Evils, apart from the birds, the Squirrels have the least trouble crossing the motorway because they are able to jump over the top of the cars. When the animals are separated in So Near And Yet So Far, the Squirrels end up at the top of a telegraph pole, where they are quickly found by Kestrel.
On arriving at White Deer Park, the Squirrels attempt to befriend the resident red squirrels, but they are greeted with hostility and a warning to keep away. They are soon pelted with acorns by a gang of red squirrels.
After Farthing land is set aside for them, the Squirrels begin filling their larder with acorns, ready for winter. During the harsh winter, Weasel resorts to selling acorns to the Squirrels in exchange for shelter for the night. They are seen again during the winter, talking to the foxes, who are out hunting. By this point, Weasel appears to be stealing from their acorn stores and the Squirrels are going hungry. The Squirrels are also present in welcoming Badger back from the Warden's house and are seen keeping watch during the plan to get rid of the poachers. Both of them are seen celebrating with the other animals after Fox's triumph over the poachers and one puts an end to Owl's speech on the birth of Vixen's cubs.
