Léon Dion, OQ (
9 October 1922 –20 August 1997 ) was aQuebec political scientist.Dion was born in Saint-Arsène de Rivière-du-Loup. He founded the department of political science at
Université Laval withGérard Bergeron andMaurice Tremblay in 1954.He was the father of the former federal minister and current Liberal leader
