James Coburn (criminal)

James Coburn (born ca. 1926 - died September 4, 1964) was the last person executed in the United States for crime other than murder.

A white farmhand, Coburn was convicted for robbery in Dallas County, Alabama and was sentenced to death. He was executed in Alabama's electric chair, "Yellow Mama".

Coburn was also second-to-last person executed in Alabama during pre-Furman era and 152nd person electrocuted in this state. He was also first executed under administration of Governor George Wallace.
