Warren (Porridge)

Warren (Porridge)

'Bunny' Warren is a fictional character in the popular BBC sitcom Porridge. He was played by Sam Kelly.

Warren cannot read or write (he claims to be dyslexic) and therefore requires Fletcher to manage his correspondence with his wife for him.

Warren is often an integral part of Fletch's schemes. However, his incompetence and lack of education often leads to the downfall of Fletcher's plans.

His proudest moment was when a picture of him was printed in the newspaper. The fact that he was, at the time, being arrested, did little in his mind to diminish the prestige of the occasion.

Warren is interviewed in the 2003 mockumentary "Norman Stanley Fletcher: Life Beyond the Box". Ironically, he has got a job as a council sign writer.
