Jeff Milchen

Jeff Milchen

Jeff Milchen is an activist, writer and speaker best known as an advocate for representative democracy and for independent businesses. He was the founder and first executive director of ReclaimDemocracy.org, a group focused on revoking excessive corporate power, especially their ability to influence law and politics.

He also co-founded three other non-profit organizations: the Boulder Independent Business Alliance, the Citizens' Debate Commission, and the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA), where he now serves as outreach director.

Milchen speaks frequently around the country on issues addressed by those organizations and writes periodically for a wide range of publications, including The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, The Ecologist, Inc. magazine, Adbusters and many others. He resides in Bozeman, Montana.
