LORAN-C transmitter Loop Head

LORAN-C transmitter Loop Head is a LORAN-C transmitter at Loop Head in the Republic of Ireland, situated at 52° 35' 03" N, 9° 49' 06" W (coord|52|35|3|N|9|49|6|W|). LORAN-C transmitter Loop Head is used as Zulu Secondary station with a transmission power of 250 kW at the Ejde LORAN-C chain (GRI 9007) and as Yankee Secondary in the Lessay LORAN-C chain (GRI 6731). It uses as an antenna tower a 219 metre tall guyed mast radiator.

The decision to erect the LORAN-C transmission mast at Loop Head was controversial.fact|date=August 2007
