The Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies is an obstetrics hospital located in Orlando, Florida, United States. A part of the Orlando Health system and supported by the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, it is located on the campus of Orlando Regional Medical Center south of Downtown Orlando. It was opened in 2006. Winnie Palmer is the third largest birthing center in the United States follwing the hospitals in Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. Winnie Palmer is ranked in the top 10th percentile for patient satisfaction among all hospitals in the United States.
Winnie Palmer Hospital hosts ORMC's level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, the only one in Greater Orlando.
Prior to Winnie Palmer Hospital's opening, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children had a Women's Center for obstetrics and reproductive services. After the death of Arnold Palmer's wife, Winnie Palmer, in 1999, Arnold resolved to build a separate women's hospital in her memory. The two facilities have a two-story elevated walkway connecting them.
