Henry Folliott, 1st Baron Folliott (1568 –
10 November 1622 ) was the second son of Thomas Folliott of Pirton Court,Pirton, Worcestershire .From about 1594 he served the Crown in
Ireland and in 1603 was commissioned to develop a township adjacent to Ballyshannon Castle. The Borough ofBallyshannon was incorporated in 1613.He was createdBaron Folliott , of Ballyshannon, in thePeerage of Ireland on22 January 1620 .He acquired salmon fisheries and over convert|3000|acre|km2 of land in
Co. Donegal . His residence was Wardtown Castle, Ballymacaward, Co.
