"Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp" is the 23rd episode of the television anthology "Faerie Tale Theatre". The story is adapted from the story of "Aladdin" from "The Book of One Thousand and One Nights" and stars Robert Carradine as the title character and Leonard Nimoy as his enemy the Moroccon Magician. As in many live-action adaptations of "Aladdin", the Genie of the Ring and the Genie of the Lamp are played by the same actor, in this case James Earl Jones. The episode was directed by Tim Burton.

Plot

This Faerie Tale Theatre version of Aladdin is very close to original story from the Arabian Nights. It includes every character and this time Aladdin is allowed as many wishes as he wants like in the original story; not like the Disney version.
