Thanatos (band)

With a history dating back to 1984, Thanatos is the Netherlands' oldest death metal band. After encountering a constant plague of problems with touring, distribution and promotion, Thanatos folded after only two albums in 1993. However, a new incarnation of the band would eventually surface seven years later to later release "Angelic Encounters" in 2000.
