In 2006, he had an impressive run of form in theCAF Confederation Cup while playing forTunisia n clubÉtoile Sportive du Sahel , taking them to the final of the competition, whilst netting eight goals.In January 2007, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Kaiserslautern, a German side who got relegated to the second division in 2006, and has been a regular in their team ever since.
