enrollment_as_of=2005-2006 School YearRon Pettigrew Christian School (RPCS) is a private, Christian K-12 school in
Dawson Creek, British Columbia . It is named after Ron Pettigrew, a principal of Bethel Christian School, who, along with the school's basketball team, were killed in a bus accident in 1988.Ron Pettigrew Christian School was created as an offshoot of Bethel Christian School when increasing student enrollment and questions concerning sports teams forced Bethel to rethink its vision. RPCS was accredited as an educational institution in the school year of 1988-1989, and opened doors to its own facility in January 1992. Construction on a gymnasium for the school is expected to be complete in 2008.
RPCS is affiliated with the ACSI, and uses the ACE and public curricula.

In the school's innagural year (1990), the RPCS Senior Girls Basketball team won the BC provincial championship. They would repeat that victory in 1991 and have a record of 31-3 for the year. That team travelled all over western Canada and were followed closely as they "Turned Tragedy Into Inspirational Fire." This is the same group of girls that won the Sr title in 1989 as Bethel Christian School, thereby holding a Provincial three-peat to their credit.
In 2002, despite the school not having a gymnasium of its own, the RPCS Senior Boys Basketball team placed first out of all 'A' schools in British Columbia, and their Senior Boys Volleyball team placed third.
