Jeremy Wafer (born 1953) is a

Durban , Wafer grew up on a farm before earning his undergraduate degree in fine arts from theUniversity of Natal, Pietermaritzburg in 1979; in 1987 he received amaster's degree in fine arts from theUniversity of Witwatersrand . He was at one time head of the Department of Fine Arts at the Natal Technikon. Currently he resides inJohannesburg and heads the Department of Fine Art at theWitwatersrand Technikon .He co-designed the "Wall of Hope" AIDS monument (with
