Davis-Stirling

Davis-Stirling

The Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act is the common name of the California Civil Code beginning with section 1350 which governs condominium, cooperative, and planned unit development communities in California. State Law overrides Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), which are specific to each property. (Likewise both State Law and CC&Rs override rules that an Association has enacted.) Besides Davis-Stirling, an HOA Association is generally also governed by California Corporations Code sections in 7000's.
