2007 - Carl Finlan took part in the local elections standing for theThornton and Allerton ward ofBradford . He gained 2% of the overall vote which was good considering most constituents voted tactically for the Conservatives to keep the BNP out.
*2008 - Deputy leader Melodie Staniforth took part in the local elections standing for theHolme Valley North ward ofKirklees . She gained 38 votes out of a possible 5,604 (0.68% of the vote) finishing seventh out of seven. She resigned shortly afterwards.ponsorship
