Askizsky District

Askizsky District ( _ru. Аскизский район) is a district ("raion") of the Republic of Khakassia. Its administrative center is the village ("selo") of Askiz. Population: 43,601 (2002 Census); 49,793 (1989 Census). The Khakas account for the largest share of the total district population (40.61% in 1989). Natural growth rate of population was −5.81 per 1000 in 1994.
