Joshua Scott Chasez, better known as JC Chasez, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and occasional actor, best known as one of the lead vocalists in the pop group 'N Sync. In 2004, Chasez released a solo album, "Schizophrenic", and has gone on to write and produce for music acts such as Girls Aloud, Basement Jaxx, and the Backstreet Boys. He is currently a judge for America's Best Dance Crew.

Early life

Chasez attended the former Belair Junior High School and then Bowie High School. His mother read an article in the Washington Post announcing auditions for Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club", and encouraged Chasez to try out. Chasez was soon cast as a performer in the fourth season and stayed until the show's cancellation in 1994. It was during his time as a Mouseketeer that Chasez befriended future bandmate Justin Timberlake, along with other future entertainers.

Vocal ability

After collaborating with Chasez, folk singer Jonatha Brooke said, "He's got a four-octave range, he can sing anything. Working with Chasez, American singer and composer, BT praised his vocal ability, saying "JC has the largest vocal range out of any guy singer I have ever met."

Longtime friend and co-worker, Justin Timberlake rebound again with Chasez for working on his new album, when Timberlake said "In my opinion, he had the best voice out of all of us...Out of all the boy bands, call ‘em what you will, he was the one that could out-sing all of us. And I’ve known him since I was 10, so it was fun to sit behind the board and push him."

Personal life

While appearing on the New Mickey Mouse Club Chasez had a longterm relationship with fellow Mousketeer Nikki DeLoach, who he mentions in the liner notes (by nickname "Peaches) of *NSYNC's self-titled album. During his *NSYNC years, from 1999-2001, Chasez dated Bobbie Thomas, currently an editor at InTouch magazine as well as a correspondent for "the Today Show".

In 2004-2005 Chasez dated "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria.
