The National Council of the Union of Burma (Burmese: ပြည်ထောင်စုမြန်မာနိုင်ငံအမျိုးသားကောင်စီ; pronounced [pjìdàuɴzṵ mjəmà nàiɴŋàɴ əmjóðá kàuɴsì]) is an opposition organisation in Burma (Myanmar), composed of representatives of armed groups and exiled political organizations. The organisation was formed on September 22, 1992 and aims to achieve a democratic federal system in Burma.
