Mike Ria

Mike Ria was the lead singer for the New York rock band "Eleventh Hour", from 1987-1992. With songs like "Deceiver", "Midnight Sun", "No One Can Stop Me" and the very popular ballads "Without You" and "Long Lonely Road" Eleventh Hour quickly became popular in the club scene in New York City.

Since leaving "Eleventh Hour" Mike has been involved in a few projects, in 1992 he formed "Ria". With the music scene changing so much in NYC "Ria" was disbanded. In 1994 Mike joined an old bandmate from "Eleventh Hour" and formed "Wildfire", popular though they were "Wildfire" died a quick death in mid 1995 due mostly to artistic differences among the band.

In recent years Mike has been busy in a variety of areas. He has sung background vocals on a few CDs for up and coming bands. He has sung at HIV/AIDS benefits throughout NYC, in 2007 he appeared at a benefit for WORLD AIDS DAY in Westchester County New York.

Mike has also been published in a Journal by The New York Academy Of Medince entitled, "Breaking Barriers: A Tool Kit For Getting and Keeping People in HIV Care." He has a poem published in the New York State Prism (Poetry Magazine) and recently finished his memoir "Long Lonely Road" an account of his time in Elevent Hour. "Long Lonely Road" is currently being considered by a prominent publishing house.
