- West Hampstead stations
In West Hampstead there are three stations, one on the
National Rail network, one served byLondon Overground and aLondon Underground station. These three stations serve as a railway interchange station on West End Lane in theLondon Borough of Camden .Interchange
Interchange between the stations is via the street. In order to complete a journey on a single ticket, interchange is permitted between the stations - for example from Richmond to St Albans, a valid route is to change here. The diagram shows the location of the three stations relative to each other. West Hampstead Thameslink to West Hampstead (North London Line) is a distance of approximately 100 yards (91 metres) along West End Lane; West Hampstead (Jubilee Line) is a similar distance to the south. Chiltern Railways services to and from
London Marylebone station run along the route marked in black; platforms could be added to the south of the present Jubilee Line station to provide interchange facilities, as discussed below.Overground - North London Line

Chiltern Railways , the train company that runs train services fromBirmingham andAylesbury through the area toMarylebone railway station , has suggested adding new platforms on their line and creating a combined London Underground, London Overground, First Capital Connect and Chiltern station complex on the site of the three stations.Under the proposals, new platforms would be built for the
Chiltern Main Line , and possibly also for theMetropolitan line , and theThameslink andNorth London Line stations would be relocated on the east side of West End Lane. [cite web
