Bußd (or "Bussd", Romanian:"Boz", Hungarian: "Buzd") is a village in
Romania , near the town ofSebeş inAlba county ,Transylvania . The name seems to be derived from Slavic "Boz" meaning elder bush. In 1786 there were 571 inhabitants recorded, in 1936 there were 1013 inhabitants, from which 342 Saxon Germans.
In 1992, after almost all Saxon citizen emigrated (mainly to
