Australian rules football er for the AFL's AFL Car. He is the son ofPeter Grigg , who was a champion player for the Western Plains Football League team Carngham-Linton, and represented Australia in Rugby Union, playing 25 tests for the Wallabies during the 80's.Prior to AFL selection, Grigg, a medium-sized midfielder, played with
North Ballarat Rebels in theTAC Cup . After being passed over in the2005 AFL Draft , he was selected in the 2006 AFL National Draft in the second round by Carlton (19th pick overall).Grigg's development in the VFL with the
Northern Bullants was delayed significantly by a shoulder injury sustained early in the 2007 season. He made his AFL debut against AFL Mel in Round 14.
