- GE C30-7A
The GE C30-7A is 6 axle DC locomotive with a C-C
AAR wheel arrangement .Conrail was the only railroad to order this locomotive type, ordering 50 units, numbering them 6550-6599. They are externally identical to theGE C30-7 model, but with a 12-cylinder prime mover, instead of a 16-cylinder engine, both which produced convert|3000|hp. Conrail liked these units for their improved fuel economy. They were built between May and June 1984.In 2003 19 C30-7s were rebuilt and exported to
Estonia as C30-7Ais to be used by EVR (Eesti Raudtee ) which at that time was privately owned. The locos were numbered as part of Class 1500 (1558-1576) and were second-hand from Conrail/CSX/NS (USA).Current and Original Running Numbers
