- Fairmont Subdivision
The Fairmont Subdivision is a
railroad line owned and operated byCSX Transportation in theU.S. state ofWest Virginia . The line runs from Grafton northwest to Rivesville [ [http://web.archive.org/web/20021126171216/www.trainweb.org/csxtimetables/Allegheny/Fairmont.html CSX Timetables: Fairmont Subdivision] ] along the oldBaltimore and Ohio Rail Road main line and a former branch of it.At its southeast end, the Fairmont Subdivision junctions with the
Mountain Subdivision near its west end, where it becomes theBridgeport Subdivision . The northwest end is at a junction with theNorfolk Southern Railway 'sLoveridge Secondary , along which CSX hastrackage rights north to theMon Subdivision nearBrownsville, Pennsylvania .History
