Rex Pickett

Rex Pickett (July 9, 1956) is an American screenwriter and director, and has also published one novel, "Sideways". He is a '76 UC, San Diego Alumnus.

Trivia

*According to the imdb his novel "Sideways" was rejected by 15 different publishers.
*In the scene in the film version of "Sideways" in which Miles (played by Paul Giamatti) hits the ball at the other golfers, it was Pickett who actually performed the shot due to Giamatti's poor golf abilities.
*Worked with David Fincher on the screenplay for "Alien 3", but his script was rejected by producers David Giler and Walter Hill.
