input =Treasures of the Deep was a game released for the
PlayStation onJuly 1 ,1998 . It was developed byBlack Ops Entertainment , notable at the time for flight simulatorsAgile Warrior and Black Dawn, and published bySony Computer Entertainment Europe .Perhaps the first in its genre, Treasures of the Deep's gameplay focused on underwater exploration in a variety of
wetsuits and gradually more powerful one-mansubmarines , in order to fulfill objectives such as capping underwater oil leaks, exploringshipwrecks , and recovering plane crash victims. Findingtreasure was also a useful secondary objective - ancient gems from a sunken ship can be put towards upgrading your weapons, equipment, and subs. The game takes place over 14 diverse underwater locations, ranging from the
Bermuda Triangle toAntarctica . The levels are designed to evoke a claustrophobic and moody environment. The game's soundtrack was composed by award winning video game composerTommy Tallarico . There is one unlockable 'bonus' level -Atlantis ! Additionally, you can occasionally unlock another bonus level called 'Shark Attack'. In this level, you play as ashark , with the objective of eating as many sea creatures or divers as possible. The game has received mixed but generally positive critical acclaim [http://www.gamespot.com/ps/action/treasuresofthedeep/review.html?mode=web] , but due to at best modest sales, it is extremely difficult to find a copy on sale today.
