Wil Harris

Wil Harris

Wil Harris (born September 20, 1982) is a technology writer and entrepreneur based just outside of Oxford, UK. He is co-founder of video network [http://www.channelflip.com ChannelFlip.com] . He is the former Editor in Chief of the bit-tech enthusiast website and also contributed to ex-sister title TrustedReviews. He [http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2007/02/07/changing_times_at_bit-tech/ announced] his resignation as the Editor in Chief of bit-tech at the end of March 2007. He is also a regular panelist on This WEEK in TECH, the technology podcast.

Wil holds a degree in Law from the University of Oxford and currently lives with his wife, Alex.

Wil is a regular panelist on This WEEK in TECH, having first appeared as a guest on the podcast in March 2006, and was formerly a guest blogger on Engadget.

He has also written for BBC News Online, The Inquirer and The Register.

Wil [http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=19615 originally broke the news] that the Xbox 360 would come in versions both with and without a hard disk drive, although incorrectly predicted that there would be a more PC-like version following.

Adam Curry spent much of the [http://curry.podshow.com/?p=388 November 21 episode] of Daily Source Code, his podcast, criticising Wil for an alleged misquote.

On episode 109 of This WEEK in TECH, Wil announced that he has co-founded, as Managing Director, a new business, with Creative Director Justin Gayner, known as ChannelFlip. Channel Flip is an online TV network aimed at a male audience, with gadget, DVD, and video game reviews.
