Peeris, is an Indian surname, which originates from Perez, a Portuguese name.

The name occurs among Paravars (or Bharathars), although not exclusively so, as it is is not a caste name. The name is also used by those who were converted to Christianity by the Portuguese. The name is found among people who live in Tamilnadu (Paravars), Sri Lanka (Bharatakula and others), Kerala, Goa and the Philippines.
