Launton is a small village, located to the east of Bicester in Oxfordshire, England. It has a population of about 1200 people.

Launton is twinned with a small village in France called Gavray. and is part of a group of local villages which include Blackthorn and Marsh Gibbon

Launton has a primary school, local store, two public houses, a butchers, post office and hair studio, sports and social club, village hall, and two churches.

The Sports & Social Club grounds provide a home pitch for Launton Football Club, as well as a tennis court and small child play area. The main building can be rented out for parties and private events, and is used for annual events such as New Year's Eve disco, fireworks celebrations, and a venue for the local school disco.

The Village Hall is used on some occasions for events such as weekly scout group meetings.

The Launton 'Church of England' Primary School holds regular fund raising events, such as an annual Easter egg hunt, as well as connections with the nearby church with services such as christingle and Year 6 leavers service.

The 'Launton Players' are a group of volunteers living in and around Launton who organise annual pantomimes which are held at The Cooper School in neighbouring Bicester. Launton also has an environment group which work towards the upkeep of the village through funding and helping with any restoration work or such which is needed.

Launton has two pubs. The largest, 'The Bull Inn', is located opposite the butchers on the crossroads which is at the heart of the village. The second pub, 'The Black Bull', is located at the end of 'West End' Road.

Stagecoach bus company provides a regular bus service to and from Launton, with every 1 in 3 buses timetabled to commute to Launton (the others are to nearby 'Langford Village' housing estate and Ambroseden Village). Local buses to Aylesbury and Banbury run through the village, as well as school coaches for BGM also providing a service for pupils living in Launton.
