Titular Head Film Festival is the annual springtime film festival hosted by Grinnell College. All films entered into the festival are student made and produced. History
In 1992, Titular Head showed "Quantum Fuck", a music video to the song "Quantum Fuck" by the band Quantum Fuck. The video included several minutes of hardcore pornography. That same year, two separate films ("Lethal Wimp" and "21") commemorated the campus pub, commonly known as The Bar, which had closed in 1991.
In 2003, audience response to a lengthy student adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" was so negative that the festival has since imposed a five-minute length limit on all submissions. Titular Head's page on GrinnellPlans warns, "Anything over 5 minutes may be subject to cuts, unless it totally kicks ass."
