Hodges Stadium is a multi-use stadium in
Jacksonville, Florida on the campus of theUniversity of North Florida . It is home to the UNF Ospreyssoccer and athletics teams. It it also used as the home ground for the localrugby league team theJacksonville Axemen .The 9,300-seat stadium is named for benefactors George and Kernan Hodges.
In
2005 it served as the practice facility for thePhiladelphia Eagles beforeSuper Bowl XXXIX , and is usually used by one of the teams playing in theGator Bowl .It will host another landmark sporting event on the 26th of January 2008 hosting
NRL teamSouth Sydney Rabbitohs and theEuropean Super League teamLeeds Rhinos .Events
