Swinger (ride)

The Watkins Swinger is a type of swing ride that can be found at carnivals, and fairs / funfairs. The ride consists of swings turning around its central axis. Compared to its counterparts, the Watkins Swinger doesn't achieve significant heights nor does it tilt.

The ride is arranged 2 seats per row with a total of 20 seats. There is a metal chain that comes from the bottom and center of the seat, and there is a metal chain that comes from the right side to the left side of the seat. The bottom chain has a metal circle at the end of it. The person will place the other chain right through the bottom chain, they will hook it onto the other side of the seat.

This ride's trademark are the letters on the top of the structure. It will say Swinger on top of the ride. It will also be lit up at night. However, some companies do not choose to put the sign up.

Manufacturer of ride

Grover Watkins invented the ride, but this does not mean that the ride was sold through his name. Instead the ride was distributed through Venture Rides, and Hi-Lite Rides. The ride is no longer in production.
