James Raymond Vreeland (born
1971 ,New York City ) is an AssociateProfessor ofpolitical science atYale University . He will join the faculty of Georgetown University as an Associate Professor in January 2009. Most of hisresearch focuses on theInternational Monetary Fund .Vreeland has published twobooks , one edited volume, and several articles in scholarlyjournals on the subject. He has also researched other internationalinstitutions , such as theUnited Nations , and domestic politicalinstitutions such asdemocracy anddictatorship .His research collaborators include
