Alpine Type-R

The Alpine Type-R is Alpine's mid range brand of component, coaxial, subwoofer speakers, between the Type S and the Type X brand.

It features dual voice coil construction, available in either dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm configuration, and comes in sizes of 10", 12", and 15".

The type-R subwoofers are known as "SPL" subwoofers, for their ability to reach high SPL levels while maintaining audio quality.

Car audio enthusiasts hold the Type R in high regard for its ability to reach loud volumes for a modest price.
