Wallace MacDonald (5 May 1891, Mulgrave, Nova Scotia, Canada - 30 October 1978, Santa Barbara California) was an Canadian silent film actor, and film producer. MacDonald initially began as an actor in films in 1914 and starred in almost 120 motion pictures between then and 1932. he appeared in films such as Youth's Endearing Charm in 1916 working with actors such as Mary Miles Minter and Harry von Meter.

However with the advent of sound in the late 1920s, MacDonald's acting career diminished somewhat so that most of his roles in the between 1927 and 1932 often went uncredited.

He retired from acting in 1932 and attempted to concentrate on script writing between 1933 and 1937 but by that time he recognized the potential to be made from film production. MacDonald is probably best remembered as a film producer producing well over 100 films between 1937 and 1959.

He died in 1978.
