Anteo Zamboni (
april 11 1911 -october 31 1926 ) was a 15-year old anarchist who tried to assassinateBenito Mussolini in Bologna onOctober 31 ,1926 , by shooting at him during the parade celebrating theMarch on Rome . [Delzell, p. 325; Roberts, p. 54; Rizi, p. 113.]Zamboni, whose shot missed Mussolini, was immediately attacked and killed by nearby fascists. [Roberts, 54.] The event was used as an excuse by the fascist government to abolish liberties and dissolve the remaining opposition parties. [Delzell, p. 325; Rizi, p. 113.]
Two streets in Bologna bear his name: "Mura Anteo Zamboni" and "Via Anteo Zamboni". In a film about the assassination attempt by
