After Garfield has his morning
coffee , Jon comes in and asks him not to annoy the mailman because he's waiting for an important package. Garfield then begins tonap , but he is quickly awoken by hisevil side, who encourages him to shove Odie off the table. As Garfield is about to do so, his good side tries to stop him, but the evil side remedies that by sending him toMexico via acannon . Garfield finally pushes Odie off the table but doesn’t seem to have enjoyed it; Jon then tells Garfield to behave himself before he goes outside to mow thelawn .
The good side, clad in a sombrero and holding a suitcase with a "VivaAcapulco " sticker on it, comes back and encourages Garfield not to misbehave, but the evil side then sends him toItaly . He then whispers to Garfield what bad thing to do next: tamper with the ride-onlawn mower . Garfield reluctantly does so, and as a result, Jon speeds around on the mower uncontrollably and eventually crashes in the garage. Jon asks Garfield if he’d tampered with the lawn mower, and Garfield denies it.
The evil side's next task is for Garfield to annoy the mailman. The mailman leaves hismail cart parked on thesidewalk while he is walking up to someone's house; meanwhile, Garfield jumps into the cart and digs through the mail. He comes across Jon's package, and while he is shaking it to determine what's inside, it drops out of his hands and hits thebrake on the cart, causing Garfield and the cart to roll down the sidewalk.
The mailman eventually catches up with the cart, and he delivers the package "and" Garfield to Jon. Jon then goes on a tirade about Garfield's behavior, but then he gives Garfield the package, which is amug with his name on it. The good side suggests that Garfield should be ashamed of himself, whereas the evil side suggests just reveling in the present. Right after Garfield says that he hopes the mail cart escapade didn’t hurt the mug, it breaks into pieces. Garfield and the good side then chase the evil side out the door. Jon remarks that he doesn’t understand Garfield; soon after, "his" evil and good sides appear and debate over whether he should keep Garfield or give him away.Notes and Goofs
