William Grainge

William Grainge

William Grainge was a Yorkshire historian, antiquarian and poet. He was born in 1818 and died in 1895. Born into a farming family in Kirkby Malzeard, he later set up a bookshop in nearby Harrogate and published numerous books on local history and topography.
