Theta Kappa Omega (ΘΚΩ), also known by its nicknames TKO, or "Teke," was a social Secondary Fraternities for high school aged men founded in 1872 at California Military Academy in Mayfield, California. The fraternity established local chapters in towns and cities across the United States. The chapters were run by a chapter president, known as the Grand Master, and other elected officers. The national fraternity was goverend by an elected body of alumni known as the Grand Council. National conventions were held annually.

The colors of the fraternity were Black, White and Gold and the flower of the fraternity was the white rose. The fraternity's coat-of-arms was composed of a shield tierced per bend sinister (divided diagonally from the viewer's top right to the viewer's bottom left by a solid band or "bend"). Below the bend (on the viewer's bottom right portion of the shield) was a plumed squire's helmet. Behind the shield was a griffin, rampant. The only parts of the griffin visible were the animal's head (above the shield), a claw (on the viewer's left side of the shield) and tail (on the viewer's right side of the shield). Above the head of the griffin was a crown, radiant. Below the shield was a scroll displaying the Greek letters ΘΚΩ. The badge of the fraternity was diamond-shaped and enamled in black. Upon the enamel, in gold, were displayed a cross patee at the top, a plumed squire's helmet at the bottom, and the Greek letters ΘΚΩ in the center.
